In a surprising partnership that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the formal release, "An unusual encounter draws protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a clandestine cult.
The mission focuses on "bizarre experiments and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer finishes with a dramatic moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Material
Players who finish the quest will receive an exclusive katana together with several items secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This update also brings the game's latest free story episode, titled "A Puzzlement."
