Zohran Mamdani Promises a 'Dawn' for The Big Apple in Inaugural Address
During an first day in his new role, Zohran Mamdani pledged to “reinvent” America's largest city, promising “a new era” and an audacious commencement to his term.
An Unprecedented Figure
The 34-year-old figure, who just a year ago remained a relatively obscure state assemblyman, is the city's first mayor of South Asian descent. He additionally marked a milestone by being the first to be take the oath of office using the Qur'an.
